Government job notifications 2026 have moved fast since mid-July. On 14 July only the Bank of India Credit Officer recruitment was open, and the rest were still waiting for their notification. Since then SSC JE, C-DAC Chennai, UKSSSC Scaler, PFRDA, UIIC and others have all been announced, and some have already held their exams.

Where Things Stood on 14 July 2026
Among the government job notifications 2026 that we track, only one was live on 14 July. The Bank of India Credit Officer recruitment (779 posts) was open, with applications running from 30 June to 20 July. The other recruitments in this guide had not been officially notified yet.

14 July to Now: What Happened in Each Recruitment
SSC JE Recruitment 2026
The Staff Selection Commission announced 1,748 tentative vacancies for Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Telecom) and Scientific Assistant (IMD). These are Group B, Level-6 posts with pay of ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400. Journey:
- 2 September: notification released and online application opened on ssc.gov.in.
- 22 to 23 September: last date to apply and pay the fee.
- 28 to 30 September: correction window.
- 1 October: exam schedule notice.
- 23 October: city intimation slip released.
- Now: Paper-I from 2 to 6 November (JE Telecom 30 November to 1 December). The admit card comes 2 to 3 days before each exam. Paper-II is expected in December, but sources differ on the exact date, so check the SSC notice.

C-DAC Chennai Recruitment 2026
C-DAC Chennai hired for 59 project posts: Project Associate (14), Project Engineer (27), Senior Project Engineer (10) and Project Manager (8). These are contract roles for up to two years or the project duration, whichever is earlier, and you could apply for only one post.
Journey:
- 4 September: notification and registration opened.
- 22 September: registration closed at 5 PM.
- Late September: walk-in interviews were tentatively planned and intimated by email. I could not find a published final list.
Selection pattern: online registration, document verification and walk-in interview. There is no written exam.
UKSSSC Scaler Recruitment 2026
If you have a 12th-pass qualification with a Science or Maths background, this one is worth a look. The Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission announced 200 Scaler posts (Group C) under the Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation. Age is 18 to 28 years as of 1 July 2026, and pay is ₹19,900 to ₹63,200.
Journey:
- 15 September: advertisement issued.
- 22 September to 22 October: application window (fee ₹300 General/OBC, ₹150 SC/ST/EWS).
- 26 to 27 October: correction window.
- Now: PST/PET start from 19 November. The written exam and admit card dates are yet to be announced.
Selection pattern: Physical Standard Test, then Physical Efficiency Test (both qualifying), then an offline objective written exam. Height is 163 cm for men and 150 cm for women. The PET covers a race, shot put, long jump and high jump. I could not find the marks and duration of the written paper, so check the official notification.
PFRDA Officer Grade A 2026
The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority invited applications for 30 Assistant Manager posts.
Journey:
- 3 September: notification.
- 24 September: last date to apply.
- 8 October: Phase-I admit card.
- 15 October: Phase-I held.
- Now: I could not find the Phase-I result yet. Phase-II is on 20 November, then the interview.
Exam pattern: Phase-I is qualifying. Paper 1 (English, Quant, Reasoning, General Awareness) has 90 questions for 100 marks in 60 minutes. Paper 2 (stream-specific) has 50 questions for 100 marks in 40 minutes. Phase-II has a descriptive English paper (3 questions, 100 marks, 60 minutes) and a stream-specific objective paper (50 questions, 100 marks). There is 1/4 negative marking. Final merit is Phase-II (85%) plus interview (15%).
UIIC AO (Scale I) 2026
United India Insurance is hiring 225 Administrative Officers for Generalist and Hindi Officer roles.
Journey:
- 7 September: notification.
- 28 September: last date to apply.
- 15 October: Prelims admit card.
- 22 October: Prelims held.
- Now: Prelims result awaited. Mains is on 30 November (tentative).
Exam pattern: Prelims is qualifying, with 100 questions for 100 marks in 60 minutes (English 30, Reasoning 35, Quant 35, 20 minutes each) and 0.25 negative marking. The Generalist Mains has 200 objective questions for 250 marks in 150 minutes, plus a 30-mark descriptive test (letter and essay). Final merit is Mains and interview in a 75:25 ratio.
Bank of India
- Credit Officer (779 posts): notified on 29 June, applications 30 June to 20 July. This was the drive open on 14 July.
- Specialist Officer (205 posts, up to Scale IV): notice on 1 August, applications 10 to 25 September.
- Selection is by online exam and/or interview. Dates are yet to be advised on the Bank of India careers page.
Bank of Baroda
- Professionals (206 posts): 6 to 26 August.
- LBO (2,482 posts): 18 August to 7 September.
- Specialist Officer (1,100 posts): 4 to 24 September.
- All three windows are closed and exam dates are yet to be announced on the Bank of Baroda careers page. For bank exams in general, you can also check the official IBPS portal for registration links and updates.
RCF, MECL and NMDFC
- RCF Assistant Officer (Secretarial), 10 posts: applications 10 to 26 September (one site reports an extension to 6 October). Selection is an online test plus a qualifying skill test. Dates are not announced.
- MECL Non-Executive, 122 posts: notified 1 September, applications 12 September to 11 October. Selection includes a written test and skill/trade test. Dates are not announced.
- NMDFC Company Secretary-cum-Chief Manager, 1 post: notified 25 August, closed 23 September, with a fee of ₹600 for UR/OBC/EWS. No exam pattern or later update was published in the sources I found.
